The Leap–Yeah! Publications: A Collaborative Dream

Since its inception in 2005, “The Leap–Yeah!” has symbolized the partnership between "Dreamers and Doers", embodying the spirit of the Loakan Charity Foundation, Inc - LCFI (aka DJLF Charity Foundation: DJLF) and DJLF Charity Philippines, Inc. - DCPI. This annual publication serves as a vital link between these organizations and their supporters, showcasing the success of the LEAP (Loakan Educational Assistance Project) aimed at empowering financially-challenged yet academically qualified youth in the Philippines to pursue college education.

LEAP and Its Educational Commitment

The initiative not only represents an annual report to LCFI's and DCPI's members and key stakeholders but also provides insights to current and potential benefactors and donors. The essence of “LEAP–YEAH!” resonates as both a celebration and a declaration of commitment to youth education. The 'YEAH' ("Youth Education And Hope") signifies an affirmation, emphasizing hope and the fundamental goal of investing in future generations through educational support.

A Legacy of Achievement

The journey began in 2005 with the awarding of scholarships to the first cohort of LEAP scholars, specifically targeting excellence among students at the Baguio City National High School in Loakan, Baguio (Loakan is where the Philippine Military Academy is located). As a pivotal moment, it marked the foundation’s dedication to providing educational opportunities. Over the years, “The Leap–Yeah!” has consistently acknowledged the contributions of its members and the achievements of its scholars, ensuring that the legacy of this impactful initiative continues to thrive with each publication.

The LEAP-YEAH!, as an annual publication, bridges our rich history with our strategic future. It serves as a vital repository of our collective milestones, proving our adaptability in a changing world. It will continue serving as a vital historical repository, documenting our adaptability and strategic growth in an ever-changing environment. For our leadership and benefactors, it documents philanthropic endeavors, strategic direction, administrative & operational processes, and institutional progress & impact; for our scholars and families, it preserves a shared legacy and inspires future aspirations, and hopefully continue the cycle of giving back to the community and helping the marginalized sector of our society.  "Dreamers, Doers...
